The benefits of FSC-certified wood

First things first: FSC is the abbreviation for Forest Stewardship Council, which is an international non-profit organization that works to promote sustainable forest management and the sustainable use of forest resources worldwide.

When wood products are FSC certified, it means they come from forests that have been managed with care to protect biodiversity, respect local rights and support local communities.

FSC certification also means taking into account the rights and safety of forest workers and minimizing the environmental impact during forest management.

This means that when you as a consumer buy FSC-certified wood products, you can be sure that you are contributing to sustainable forest management and the preservation of forests and their ecosystems.

FSC certification has become a well-known brand for those who want to make environmentally friendly choices when purchasing wood products.

“The forest owner shall identify and respect the legal and customary rights of indigenous peoples to possess, use and manage lands, territories and resources affected by operational activities.”

4. Relationship with the local community
